How a Lagos stylist became the woman who dresses the women you admire.
Beulah Oluwafisayomi Mobolaji started Dé-light Fashion House more than a decade ago, before the words 'personal stylist' meant much in Lagos. She did not have a brand. She had a thread, a sketchpad, and one client who needed something for an event nobody else could dress her for.
The decade in milestones
From one client to six hundred thousand saves.
First atelier door opened
The first Dé-light room. One sewing machine, two sketchpads, and a client who needed something for an event nobody else could dress her for.
First bride
The first wedding gown commission. Hand drawn, hand cut, three fittings. The bride still wears the veil to anniversary dinners.
First aso ebi build for a 30 person family
Thirty sets, four weeks, one tone. The build that taught Beulah how to dress a family as a single image.
First Pinterest pin crosses 10,000 saves
The pin nobody promoted. The first signal that the work was carrying further than the word of mouth.
100,000 monthly saves
The Pinterest profile crosses 100,000 monthly saves. Beulah hires the second seamstress.
First diaspora order to the UK
Measurements over WhatsApp, video fitting, shipped to London. The diaspora chapter begins.
