Burnt Orange Pearl Hem Top and Trouser Set

Burnt orange because most Lagos executive wear lives in the navy, black and grey safety net, and the executives who break that net get remembered. The client who commissioned this was running for a board seat on the back of her third year as the most cited woman in her sector. She did not need to be interesting. She needed to be unforgettable.

The mock neck holds the line of her face and frames it without competing for the attention. The hem of the top is studded with small pearls, hand sewn in a scattered constellation so the eye stops at her waist, which is the part of the silhouette people remember even when they cannot tell you why. The matching trousers complete the line. We built this in a heavier crepe so it photographs as a suit, not as separates, which matters on a stage and on LinkedIn.

She wore it to the campaign launch. The press photograph that ran in three papers the next morning has been her LinkedIn cover since. She won the seat.
